A Fresh 48 Newborn Photography Story at Medical City Dallas

So much changes when you hold that newborn baby in your arms.

Your body is filled with endorphins, your heart is exploding with this new love as you take in every part of him. You can't help but touch his tiny ears and feel his reflexes as he grabs your finger for the first time.

It may have been a hard pregnancy or a hard delivery or it may have taken much longer than expected to conceive him, but in those first few hours none of that matters as you soak it all in.

Everything about the first 48 hours is raw.

Raw emotions. Raw beautiful love. Raw memories. It's an open, honest and sacred time you never want to forget.

The Fresh 48 session is one that I love to photograph. Many times I arrive when the siblings are meeting or holding their new sibling for the first time. Many times I'm there while other family members have gathered to meet your bundle of joy. Many times it's just me and the new parents.

Fresh 48 sessions are held in the hospital or birthing center after birth but before the first car ride home. I make sure I photograph the baby's little details, your love as you dote on him, one of the first feedings, and capture the start of his new life in your arms.
